Weekly Art Class FAQ

How is the schedule structured?

Our Weekly Art Classes meet during the school year months for four, 8-week sessions roughly following the local school quarters (see dates below).

  • Fall: September 3 - October 25
    (no classes the week of Halloween)
    Early Winter: November 4 – January 18
    (no classes the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s)
    Late Winter: January 20 – March 15
    Spring: March 31 – May 23

  • Mondays:

    4:00 Animal Art (ages 5-7)
    4:30 Multimedia Art Start (ages 7-11)
    6:00 Multimedia Art Start (ages 7-11)
    6:30 Animal Art (ages 5-7)

    Tuesdays:

    5:15 Little Artists (ages 3-6)
    6:30 Little Artists (ages 3-6)

    Wednesdays:

    1:00 Little Artists (ages 3-6)
    4:00 Multimedia Art Start (ages 7-11)
    4:15 Animal Art (ages 5-7)
    5:30 Multimedia Art Start (ages 7-11)

    7:00 Drawing Skills (ages 9-13)

What classes do you offer?

We have four different types of Weekly Classes: Little Artists (ages 3-6), Animal Art (ages 5-7), Art Start (ages 7-11), and Drawing Skills (ages 8-10 or 9-13). Click a yellow button above for details about our four class types.

Can parents stay during classes?

We ask parents to stay with 3yo artists. Staying is optional for ages 4-6. Classes for ages 7-13 are drop off and go.

We need to miss a class. What do we do?

Come for a makeup class if you can! We don’t give refunds or future credits for student absences, but you can Email Christine to ask if space is available for a makeup class during that same week. If a makeup class doesn’t work out, we’ll get your artist caught up when they return.

Are the ages firm?

Yes, the ages are firm. We don’t move younger artists to older groups, more for social reasons than art ability. The exception could be if a special needs child would benefit from being with a younger group.
